Help give me a big high-five to my latest clients, Michael & Jackie who just bought their first home over in Howell Station. It’s a cute bungalow with all the old charm (high ceilings, crown molding, old fireplaces) yet has modern updates to meet today’s living. Michael & Jackie were referred to me from a past client (Thanks Matt & Kate!) this past winter. From our first meeting, I could tell that Michael & Jackie would be super fun to work with. Their humor and spunk always made showing homes with them entertaining.
While Howell Station wasn’t on our initial house hunt radar, we did start to explore the Westside of town more as our search evolved. For one, it would mean a shorter commute to work so that would be advantageous and the Westside has been a booming area. Additionally, I think the Howell Station neighborhood is a well kept secret that isn’t on everyone’s radar quite yet. It’s going to neighbor the big upcoming Bellwood Quarry park project that when completed, will be a bigger park than Piedmont Park! Looking at the past 6 months of sales, the median days on market for a home in Howell Station has only been 4 days. Wowsers. Howell Station sports a very community-like vibe too and has a mix of older homes and there are some newer craftsman homes that have been popping up. It’s definitely a neighborhood to watch and I think it’s a wise investment choice for Michael & Jackie. Congrats and enjoy your new home!
