Just north of Virginia-Highland is the Atlanta neighborhood of Morningside. The Morningside real estate market will present you with charming tudor style homes but with slightly larger lots than its Virginia-Highland neighbor. Newer craftsman builds, bunglaws, and a few moderns are sprinkled in the Morningside neighborhood as well. It is mainly a residential community with rolling hills and tree-lined streets and includes a few restaurants/shops along North Highland in the Morningside Village (staple restaurants include Alon’s Bakery & Cafe, the Family Dog, Doc Chey's, Nowak's, and Whiskey Bird). Every Saturday morning there is a farmer’s market located at the Morningside Presbyterian Church parking lot. Residents enjoy being close to Piedmont Park, more dining options in Virginia-Highland, and fairly close access to I-85. Morningside is a family-friendly neighborhood filled with young families and enjoy the highly ranked elementary school, Morningside Elementary.
