Old Fourth Ward (commonly referred to as O4W) is a central Intown location that is rich in history. Most notable is the Martin Luther King, Jr historic site which surrounds his childhood home on Auburn Ave and the church he pastored at (Ebenezer Baptist Church). Once having a reputation of crime and other bad activity, the Old Fourth Ward real estate market has experienced a drastic turnaround and is now a popular, urban Atlanta neighborhood. It’s close proximity to downtown, Midtown, Virginia Highland, Inman Park, and the high walkability of this area have attracted more young professionals and businesses to relocate into the neighborhood. The big drivers to this neighborhood is its proximity to the Atlanta Beltline and the popular mixed-use shopping/food hall at Ponce City Market. The Old Fourth Ward real estate market is a large assortment of condos, lofts, townhomes, and single-family homes (both bungalows and newer construction). If you are into modern homes, the O4W neighborhood has lots of newer modern homes/townhomes to choose from. Tons of apartment complexes can be found in the O4W too, especially around the Old Fourth Ward Park.
