As of this afternoon, Luisa and Afonso own a home! A big congratulations goes out to this sweet couple! Their new home is a recently renovated 3bed/2bath ranch style home in a quaint neighborhood in Marietta. It has hardwoods throughout the first floor, new kitchen cabinets/countertops, and the best unfinished basement that I’ve seen in quite some time. There are lots of options you could use the spacious basement for (build out an additional room, turn part of it into a “man cave” or recreational room, etc). Even the home inspector was so impressed with the high quality work that the renovator did, which is always super encouraging when purchasing a home.
I met Luisa and Afonso through a referral from previous clients (a big thanks to Jorge & Christine for recommending my services to your friends!). They were in debate about which location they wanted – Smyrna or Marietta. I started sending them listings of all potentials that matched their budget and criteria (either a home or townhome) in these areas. When Luisa & Afonso were ready to start physically looking at homes, I met them out one weekend to start searching. What they revealed to me was that they had already driven by all their top choices beforehand and narrowed the places they wanted to see to a list of 6. I was completely impressed that they did their own homework beforehand (I wanted to give them a hug, but refrained from doing so –I didn’t want to freak them out!). Even though they were first time homebuyers, they handled the whole buying process like pros.
We looked at those 6 houses one weekend in September and the final stop on our house hunt that day was the home that they ended up buying. I can’t blame them, it was a well-done house on a big corner lot in a super friendly neighborhood. I’m so happy that Luisa and Afonso have found a place they can enjoy this upcoming holiday season with friends and family. Congrats to you both!!
