We are in the midst of the Atlanta Festival season and the month of June is not short on festivals. Check out 4 June Festivals in Atlanta happening this weekend:
For the Foodies –> Atlanta Food and Wine Festival
Date :: June 1 – 4 / First event starts at Noon on June 1st
Location :: Various Midtown locations including Loew’s Hotel & Piedmont Park
Details :: There are too many events happening during this 4-day show to describe, but you can go to the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival website to discover all the options. (www.atlfoodandwinefestival.com) There are classes held each day (ranging from topics like bourbon & ham to transferring raw ingredients to real food). Or, if you are like most and just want to taste really good food from high-quality chefs, there are tasting tents each night. Whatever you decide to do, you will be surrounding by award-winning chefs and others whose passion is food!
Cost :: Tickets vary depending on the type of experience you want. An evening tent tasting pass will run $100, an all-day tasting pass is $175, and VIP tickets can be anwhere from $600-$1K!
For the Music Lovers –> Candler Park Music & Food Festival
If hanging out in some green grass and grabbing some grub from a food truck in a pretty park is your thing, then look no further than the Candler Park Music & Food Festival.
Date :: June 2nd 4-11 PM & June 3rd Noon-11PM
Location :: Candler Park / 1500 McClendon Ave, Atlanta, GA 30307
Details :: From bluegrass, rock, jazz, and everything in between, the Candler Park Music Festival has you covered! Bring a soft blanket and find a spot on the green grass to relax and enjoy the sounds of the summer. There is of course tons of food trucks to satisfy your appetite and beer to quench your thirst. For the Casual Festival Seeker –> Virginia Highland Summerfest
Date :: June 3rd 10AM-11PM & June 4th 10AM-6PM
Location :: Along Virginia Ave in Virginia Highland
Details :: The festival starts with a 5K at 8AM followed by a Tot Trot (ages 7 and under) at 9:15AM. Then artists open their booths starting at 10AM. Hint – if you want to get there before it’s too crowded (and HOT), go in the morning! The main food stands are located in front of John Howell Park and if you have kids, make sure to take them into the kids zone which is located on the sand volleyball courts in John Howell Park. For the Craft & Vintage Thrillist –> Indie Craft Experience
Date :: June 3-4, 11AM-6PM
Location :: Colony Square, 1197 Peachtree ST NE (Midtown)
Details :: If you are looking for Etsy type stuff and like the indie/vintage look, then this craft market featuring 90+ artists may be for you!
