I simply love to end a week with seeing a happy couple walk away with keys to their new home. A big congrats goes out to Jason and Victoria!! Jason and Victoria are East Lake homeowners of a SUPER ADORABLE bungalow. If you aren’t familiar with East Lake, it’s been a growing neighborhood that neighbors Oakhurst and Kirkwood. The homes are a mixture of older craftsman and bungalow styles with newly built craftsman homes in a good range of price points. I think Jason and Victoria are buying in East Lake at a good time because in May it was announced that 3 new restaurants will be coming into East Lake which will be a good boost to attract more walkability and finally give East Lake it’s own local neighborhood hangout area.
Jason and Victoria are first time homebuyers but I have to be honest, they appeared to be some of the most calm first time homebuyers I’ve worked with in awhile. We did some searching in many surrounding intown areas and even when we lost out on 2 multiple offer situations, Jason and Victoria didn’t get discouraged. We continued on and eventually spotted this new listing in East Lake. Faced with another bidding war, we came out on top this time! It’s a very well-done 2 bed/2 bath featuring dark hardwood flooring and a large living area. The home also sports a spacious backyard that they plan to build a garage in. There is also an unfinished basement which offers opportunity for them to finish the basement out and make the home a 3 or even 4 bedroom home, something that they are going to look into doing.
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Jason and Victoria as we searched for homes. They just got married in April and now are getting to move into their first home together. How exciting! Congrats again and enjoy that new home!
