On this final day of August, I had the privilege of watching Jonathan get keys to his first home in North Decatur! Just over a month ago, we met up for the first time over lunch to discuss the home buying process and a few hours later, Jonathan inquired about a home in North Decatur. I quickly checked the availability on the home as it had only been listed for a few days. Turns out that there were already multiple offers on the property but we still had a shot at getting an offer in. We then scurried over there in the evening to view the home, quickly made an offer, and it ultimately got accepted!!
This ranch-style home definitely has a lot of potential and is located in an excellent neighborhood full of older ranch homes and new traditional style construction. Jonathan wanted to find a home that could be a project for him to gradually work on and this one fit the mold perfectly. It has a huge lawn, on a quiet street, has lots of options for future renovations, and has fairly quick access to I-285. I would have never guessed that this would be Jonathan’s first time to buy a home. He seemed to be so comfortable with the entire process. This home in North Decatur needs some TLC and most first time homebuyers would shy away from such a project. However, I am sure having worked in the contracting business in the past helped Jonathan feel comfortable with the projects he will take on.
I am excited to see what he can do to renovate this ranch home. Jonathan has a great attention to detail and I have no doubt he will do some magical work to make this house shine.
