I finally had the chance to go visit Inman Park’s new shops and eatery called Krog Street Market. It’s located at 99 Krog Street along Edgewood Ave NE. It’s located just steps away from the entrance to the Eastside Beltline trail. I live in Virginia Highland and not too far away from the beltline. This is going to be a new tradition for myself and husband (he may not know it yet!). But I envision us taking a nice 2 mile walk along the beltline, stop off at Krog Street Market for a weekend afternoon lunch or dinner, and then head back home. We get to eat some delicious food but not feel too guilty since we will have walked a total of 4+ miles! Win-win situation in my book. I imagine a lot of residents in Inman Park or near the beltline are going to have similar ideas of taking a walk up to this fun restaurant dining experience.
There are multiple options to choose from – everything from a more formal sit-down dining option at The Luminary to more casual quick options such as Yalla! (a build-your-own shwarma and kebab concept) and Grand Champion BBQ. If you’re not really up for a full meal, there are other snack options such as The Little Tart Bakeshop or Jeni’s Ice Cream. Or, if you’re just feeling thirsty there is Hop City which features both a bar and a store of beer and wine. There’s also a few shops to browse around and look at including a flower store (French Market Flowers), a unique dog toys and treat store (Krog Street Pet Works), and butchery shop (The Spotted Trotter). You can check out all the dining and retail options here.
There is a parking lot, but it can fill up quickly. Another option is to use the valet service. But, if you live in a surrounding neighborhood such as Cabbagetown, Inman Park, or O4W, it may be better to walk and avoid the hassle of hoping a parking space opens up. Got an electric car? There are a few electric charging stations as well.
