Festivals, Food, and Streets Alive

What a weekend in Atlanta!  So much going on and so little time!  I woke up Saturday morning to a nice 13 mile run with my Big Peach Midtown running club.  We had a nice jog through Midtown, the Beltline, around Inman Park and back.  Then, after a brunch with my husband at Flying Biscuit, we headed over the the East Atlanta Strut to watch the 2 PM parade.  Following the parade, we hopped over to the Candler Park Festival to check out the art booths.  After all this, a nap was needed before we participated in the Inman Park Restaurant week.  We enjoyed a $25 prix fix dinner at Rathbun’s, including a bbq shrimp baguette as a starter, salmon with jasmine rice and sweet chile sauce for the main entree, and then an amazing dark chocolate dessert.

There’s still time to get out and enjoy the rest of this weekend:

  • The Candler Park Festival will still be in full swing including a tour of homes from 12-6PM.
  • Atlanta Streets Alive is happening from 2-6PM.
  • Go get one last taste of the Inman Park Restaurant week at participating restaurants.
