West Midtown is probably one of Atlanta's most trendiest areas of town these days. Once abandoned warehouses, developers have given them new life and changed them to trendy restaurants, upscale shopping, lofts, and office space. The actual boundary lines of West Midtown are probably arguable but the heart of West Midtown can be found along Howell Mill Rd between roughtly 10th & 17th streets. Here is where you'll find some delicious restaurants (Flower Child, Upbeet, Barcelona, Marcel, etc). Living in the heart of West Midtown will mainly be apartment complexes, a few loft/condo buildings, and some new townhome options. There are many neighboring communities like Loring Heights, Home Park, and Howell Station that are within a mile or 2 that have single-family homes. This area continues to change each year with new development. Eventually the Atlanta Beltline will run through the northern end of this area. But if you are craving some green space, head over a few miles to Atlanta's newest park "Westside Park" to get some miles in and soak up the sunshine.
