Lake Claire

An extension just east of Candler Park is Lake Claire. It’s a small yet inviting neighborhood including the popular Lake Claire Park, a private pool, walking trails, and it borders Candler Park with the original Flying Biscuit restaurant, Felini's Pizza, La Fonda, and Candler Park Market. Lake Claire real estate includes a large presence of small cottages and bungalows, but new craftsman style homes are being built all around this area. In case you were wondering, there isn’t an actual lake in this neighborhood, as the name would suggest. Simply, the intersection of Lakeshore and Claire Roads is where the name Lake Claire came about. Lake Claire is located within the highly ranked Mary Lin elementary school district and a quick drive to several popular dining destinations such as Downtown Decatur and Midtown.
