A quaint Atlanta neighborhood just south of I-20 and east of downtown is the neighborhood of Grant Park. This area is centered around the 4th largest park in Atlanta, called..you guessed it…Grant Park! It is a picturesque front yard for homeowners surrounding all four sides of the park. Most homes around the park are larger 2-story homes while surrounding streets will showcase smaller cottage, victorian, and bungalow styles. Inside the park is also home to the Atlanta Zoo, a public swimming pool open during the summer months, and a fabulous Grant Park Farmers Market held every Sunday from April-December. Nearby is the famous Oakland Cemetery which is the resting place of many former Atlanta mayors, Margaret Mitchell, and Bobby Jones. Near the end of each summer, the neighborhood hosts the Summer Shade Festival which features local artists, music, and festival food. The Atlanta Beltline also passes through the south edge of the neighborhood. Many residents are attracted to the Grant Park neighborhood for its family-friendly atmosphere, close proximity to the center of the city, and access to the Beltline. One of the newest establishments in Grant Park is the Beacon - a mixed-use food hall including 2 breweries (Eventide Brewing & Elsewhere Brewing).
